Daisy in CO's Story

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

Hi, my name is Daisy, and I am 7 years old and weigh 20.5 pounds. I need a new home because my previous family couldn't take me when they moved. I am being fostered in Dacono, Colorado

I am a petite girl with soft black and white fur and I like to be snuggled and pet once I earn your trust. I LOVE treats and am very motivated by them. I get along with my foster mom's 2 male dogs. I have found that I really like to be able to go in and out of the house but, I need supervision because I bark at anything strange to me.

My foster mom thinks I appear to be potty trained. I am learning how to use a dog door and have not had any accidents in the house.

I need a calm house so that I can adjust to my new surroundings. New people can be a little scary for me but I warm up to pets and love after a brief amount of time. I would do best with a family that is home a lot. I don't mind going into a kennel at night to sleep but I think I would enjoy being in my owners bed at night too.

Here is a little more about me:
Housetrained? :Yes
Leash trained? :Working on it
Rides well in car? :Working on it
Good with other dogs? :Yes
Good with cats? :Not yet tested
Good with young children? :Yes
Good with strangers? :Working on it
Shy or confident? :Shy at first
Barks? :Yes
Apartment qualified? :No
Any Special needs or Health Issues? None
Adoption fee ?: $325

Additional comments :
Her previous owner had other dogs, cats, and children but Daisy has not yet been tested with cats or small children. She is very timid at initial introduction to new people and barks at them. I think she would do better with older children.

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application. We will respond back to you within 72 hours of receiving your application.

Interested in Donating visit https://www.adoptaboston.com/donate
