She has always been a very sweet and obedient dog. She does not bark at other dogs or animals. She knows the commands “sit” “lay down” and “chill”

She loves playing with other dogs. She is friendly with adults and children. She is very familiar with doggy daycare and boarding. She is spayed and microchipped. She loves treats and walks and going to the dog park. She is crate trained but is rarely in a crate anymore. She is potty trained and used to using a doggy door.

Unfortunately she has food allergies which cause her to have itchy skin, ear infections, and irritated paws. She requires veterinary treatment for this often. We haven't yet been able to find a food that she can eat and tolerate and not be itchy.

She is a good walker on a leash unless she sees a squirrel then she will tug to try to go chase it.

She has not been around cats very much to know how she would react to them.

She is such a sweet dog and would be a great addition to any family that can show her lots of love.

Her family has recently added their first human baby and are feeling overwhelmed with her care. They have made the difficult decision to rehome her.

This is something that we see quite often..... people reach out to us because they are first-time parents and become overwhelmed. Some of the questions on our application have come into scrutiny lately, such as do you plan in the near future, a move, a divorce, or adding a new baby... These are all things in our many, many years of rescue we have seen as triggers for people rehoming pets. All three can be extremely stressful times. We choose not to place dogs in homes where any one of these three things are a near future possibility.
