Daisy's Story
Meet Daisy

Daisy is a 3-year-old, 37 lb sweetheart who is ready to find her forever family. She’s spayed, fully up to date on veterinary care, crate trained, and very well house trained. She is also very well leash trained, making her a wonderful walking companion. In many ways, Daisy is an easy girl to have around and is happiest when she can simply be part of her family.

Daisy has a wonderful mix of playful and relaxed energy. She enjoys going for walks, spending time with her people, and then settling in for some downtime once she’s gotten her fun out. She’s affectionate without being overly demanding, loves giving kisses, and will happily roll over for belly rubs. Daisy is perfectly content to hang out with her people and lay next to them, keeping you company. She isn’t a particularly snuggly dog, though—she’s more of a “I want to be near you” kind of girl rather than a “curl up in your lap” kind of girl. She knows “sit” and enjoys being included in whatever her family is doing.

Daisy would love an active family who enjoys getting out and about. Regular walks, hikes, adventures, playtime, and other ways to help her burn off her energy would be great for her. She would also thrive with a family who enjoys working with their dog on training and enrichment. Daisy is a smart girl with plenty of personality, and giving her something to focus on can be a wonderful way to keep her happy and fulfilled. After she’s had the opportunity to get her energy out, she is happy to settle down and relax with her people.

Daisy does have some herding tendencies and can be a little opinionated about treats and toys, so a family who understands dog behavior and is willing to continue guiding her will be a great match.

When it comes to other dogs, Daisy is a bit particular. She would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home or living with larger, confident dogs. She has a tendency to pick on smaller dogs, so a home without little dogs would be best for everyone.

Daisy would also do best with dog-savvy children, preferably over the age of 12. She genuinely enjoys people, but she can become uncomfortable when children unexpectedly get into her personal space. Older, respectful kids who understand how to interact appropriately with dogs would be a much better fit for her.

Could Daisy be the girl you’ve been looking for?

Interested in adopting?
