Daisy Bee - Quirky Girl!'s Story
Daisy Bee is available to foster to adopt. She is fostered in southwest Ontario.

Meet Daisy Bee, the quirky girl with a brave heart and a curious mind! This independent and opinionated lady knows her own mind and isn't afraid to speak up. But don't let that fool you, she's a smart and playful girl who loves nothing more than flinging a toy and chasing after it. She entertains herself! But she likes her naps on the couch too.

Daisy Bee needs a family who understands the unique qualities of hounds and can provide the exercise, structure and routine she thrives on. She would love to run off and explore your neighborhood, so a securely fenced yard might be best. Daisy Bee is smart and knows commands like Come, Stay, Wait, Leave It, and others. She would thrive in a family where she will get more training.

Daisy Bee is an active girl who needs her daily walks and will happily take you on an adventure, though she needs to improve on leash manners, especially when she sees a dog who she takes a dislike to! She pulls strongly on walks and needs a harness/leash plus a collar/leash. She's house-trained, but like any queen, she may occasionally remind you of her presence with a little accident. She is not happy in a crate.

Daisy ignores other dogs, and she has not been cat-tested or tested with other animals. And unlike so many other hounds, Daisy Bee is quiet!

With people, Daisy Bee is a little like a cat, independent and a little stand-offish, but when she chooses you, you know you've been accepted! She particularly prefers the company of men, but be warned, if she doesn't like someone, she has a startling way of showing it -- a little nip (think strong pinch) on the butt or thigh! As a result, she needs careful introductions to visitors in the home. She does like treats, so that's helpful with training.

-2 years old estimated
-25 kg or 55 lb
-spayed, vaccinated, healthy
-daily walks for her routine elimination and/or dog park visits required
-quiet for a hound, but will alert bark when visitors approach the house
-dog friendly, cats unknown
-no small children but teens would likely be okay
-fencing needed

Daisy Bee is a unique girl with a big personality and a heart to match. She's waiting for her forever family to embrace her quirks and give her the love and structure she needs to thrive. Could you be the one to unlock her snuggly side and give her the future she so deserves?
