Daisy's Story
Meet Daisy!

Daisy is a lovable girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This sweet girl has earned the nickname “cat dog” because of her quirky habits, including lounging on the back of the couch like she owns the place. She’s a big fan of belly rubs, cuddles, and being close to her people, but she also appreciates having her own space when she needs it.

Daisy loves going for walks and spending time with her family. She has been around several children and has never shown aggression toward them. In fact, she loves cuddling up next to the baby in her foster home! She would be more than happy to snuggle with you in bed, usually settling at the foot of the bed under the covers. She gets cold easily, so keeping her cozy is a must!

When meeting new people, Daisy may bark at men or act unsure around people wearing hats. Don’t let that fool you, though! Give her about five minutes to warm up, and she’ll likely be your new best friend.

Daisy has a few things her future family should know. She eats one cup of food in the morning around and another cup for dinner! While she isn’t food-aggressive with people, she can become protective of her meals around other animals. For this reason, she should always be fed separately. Daisy would do best as the only dog in the home. Although she can be around other dogs, she has had a few disagreements with the dogs in her foster home. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown.

Daisy is also crate-trained and knows her routine! When it’s time for her kennel, she may make a quick detour to the couch first, but she usually heads right in. She’s still working on becoming fully house-trained and has been making progress. She isn’t a fan of going outside in the rain, either, so a little patience and encouragement will go a long way.

Car rides aren’t exactly Daisy’s favorite adventure, and she occasionally gets carsick, so seat covers are recommended. She also isn’t shy about using her voice, especially when she thinks dinner is running late!

Daisy may have a few quirks, but that’s part of what makes her so special. She is affectionate, funny, loyal, and full of love for the people she trusts. With a family who understands her needs, gives her time to warm up, and appreciates her one-of-a-kind personality, Daisy has all the potential to be the most awesome companion! She’s ready to find her forever home and share all the love she has to give!
