DAISY's Story

Daisy is the kind of dog who throws her whole heart into loving her people. She is playful, social, smart, and absolutely convinced that being involved in everything is her full-time job. She already knows cues like sit, lay down, crate, and “back up,” loves car rides, and thrives on interaction and attention. Staff have seen a softer side of Daisy emerge outside of stressful kennel settings, where she relaxes into affection, enjoys toys and playtime, and shows just how eager she is to connect with people.

Daisy will do best with an experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and thoughtful introductions to new situations. According to previous households, she can become overstimulated around other animals and in high-excitement situations, especially when competing for attention. Since moving into the new shelter, however, Daisy has shown noticeable improvement in her stress levels and overall behavior, which is a good reminder that environment matters. She is a dog with a big personality, big feelings, and a lot of potential in the right home. For someone willing to guide her and channel all that enthusiasm, Daisy could become an incredibly loyal and entertaining companion.

All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet
