Daisy's Story

Daisy is looking for her a home for A LOT of cuddles! She is a 2 year old scruffy / fluffy terrier cross full grown at 31 lbs. Daisy is grateful to her rescuer who found her scared, hungry and alone in the hills outside of Puerto Vallarta. She had been dumped full of fleas, mites and some dog bites. She clung to them for help and they took her home. She has repaid them with endless cuddles and affection. Daisy is medium energy and house trained. She is living with 4 cats and 5 dogs in the home. Outdoors she will chase other cats if they run. She is smart and food motivated, and knows basic cues – such as sit, shake a paw, and place. Daisy isn’t much of a barker. She can be timid around strange dogs if they rush up and will avoid them, but is playful and kind with her dog friends. She loves cuddles above all us, and if the dogs are busy playing, she might capitalize on extra cuddle time with the humans. Daisy is healthy, spayed and vaccinated.

Please email us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com if you'd like to tell us why you might be a match (please check your junk / spam in case we’re redirected). Not surprisingly Daisy is quite popular, but we'd like to find her her perfect second chance! PVCA Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our sister organization, the SPCA Puerto Vallarta, has a sanctuary, staff, trainer and medical team who work with the dogs and cats until they are deemed "adoptable". Once they pass their health exams, which include blood tests which certify they are able to cross borders, they are transported to Canada and/or the United States and enter foster or permanent homes. All our animals come sterilized, and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Our organization relies on the caring volunteers who open their homes and foster the animals until they are adopted. We do not have a sanctuary or shelter in Canada or the United States. Visits must be arranged and we prefer an adoption application to be filled out and approved before visitation.
