Dahlia's Story

Dahlia came from a large hoarding case in Anderson county. Over 60 small breed dogs were pulled from the home after the owner died. We estimate her age to be 8 months and she weighs 12 lbs. Dahlia has had little human contact due to the number of animals in the home. She wants attention but is also very shy. She would do best in a quiet home with older children and calm pets. Dahlia was not house trained as the dogs were never left outside so her owner will need to work with her on that. Dahlia is available for adoption in Knoxville, TN and her fee is $300. Prior to adoption she will be spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
