Meet Dagur (pronounced Dayger)

Hi there! My name is Dagur (which means Day in Icelandic). I am an adorable, 6-week-old Catahoula Leopard/Shepherd mix boy. I (along with my 3 siblings) were surrendered to Rescue One after our mama accidentally got pregnant with us. Oops! I will be ready for adoption mid-April.

I do great with other dogs and respectful kiddos. I haven't met any cats yet, but as young as I am, I bet I would be just fine with dog-savvy kitties. Like all puppies, I am still learning all the big dog skills, like house, crate, and leash training. I will need your help to continue that training. I will likely be a medium sized dog when I'm all grown up. I will need a home with a fenced yard to run and play in. Another fur sibling or kiddo to play with would be fun, but I would be fine as an only dog, as long as I get plenty of play time, attention, and exercise. I would love an active family who will take me on adventures to dog-friendly places. I hope you will fill out an application so we can meet!

**As a reminder, puppies will need lots of time and attention during the first year. Before adopting me, please make sure that you have enough time, energy and commitment to devote to my training. Puppies need a lot of care, so everyone in your household should be on board and ready to help out**

**Rescue One is unable to provide an exact prediction of how big or small your rescue puppy will become when full grown. Any approximation provided is no guarantee.**

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
