He eats at a relaxed pace (not a fast eater) and is very food-motivated.<br/><br/>🌸 Personality<br/>Daebagi is a dog-social, independent, and easygoing companion. He likes people and is friendly with everyone, but he is not overly clingy — he is perfectly happy relaxing on his own and checking in for affection when he chooses.<br/><br/>At home, he is calm, quiet, and low-maintenance. Outdoors, he becomes much more energetic and engaged — especially when it comes to walks and meeting other dogs.<br/><br/>🐕 Social Behavior<br/>Daebagi is extremely interested in other dogs and will try to approach any dog he sees, regardless of size. Once he is able to greet, he typically sniffs and attempts to initiate friendly interaction.<br/><br/>He does best with:<br/>• regular, controlled dog introductions<br/>• guidance to manage excitement on leash<br/><br/>He has not been tested with cats.<br/><br/>👨‍👩‍👧 With People<br/>He is friendly with all people regardless of gender, but generally shows more interest in dogs than humans. He enjoys affection but is not demanding and does not seek constant attention.<br/><br/>🏠 Home Life & Routine<br/>Daebagi is a very easy dog to live with indoors.<br/><br/>• Calm and quiet in the home<br/>• No destructive behavior observed<br/>• No aggression, biting, or guarding behaviors<br/>• Rarely barks<br/><br/>He typically rests on his mat or rug and relaxes for most of the day. As he settled into foster care, he gradually became comfortable using the sofa and bed as well.<br/><br/>He has no separation anxiety and can stay home alone (about 2 hours on weekdays, longer on weekends) as long as his exercise and potty needs are met.<br/><br/>🚽 House Training<br/>Daebagi is 100% outdoor potty trained.<br/><br/>He requires:<br/>• At least two walks per day (morning and evening)<br/>• Outdoor access for all elimination<br/><br/>He may mark in a new environment on the first day, but after settling in, he maintains excellent house manners with no accidents.<br/><br/>🚶 Walks & Activity<br/>Walks are the highlight of Daebagi’s day.<br/><br/>He:<br/>• Has high enthusiasm at the start of walks<br/>• May pull on leash and become excited<br/>• Loves sniffing, marking, and exploring<br/>• Is very focused on other dogs during walks<br/><br/>He does not bark on walks but may fixate on dogs from a distance and try to approach them.<br/><br/>He can be sensitive to large vehicles and may prefer quieter walking routes.<br/><br/>He also enjoys running and outdoor activity, and would benefit from a home that can provide consistent daily exercise and enrichment.<br/><br/>🚗 Car & Crate<br/>• Has limited car experience but tolerated a 1-hour crate ride without motion sickness<br/>• May feel restless in a crate and will circle, but does not vocalize<br/><br/>He is not yet comfortable with crates and will need gradual training if crating is required.<br/><br/>🛁 Grooming<br/>• Does not enjoy baths and may try to step out of the tub<br/>• Also sensitive to paw handling (e.g., wiping after walks)<br/>• Requires gentle handling and positive reinforcement for grooming<br/><br/>Notably, he has softer paw pads, which can make him more prone to slipping on smooth surfaces.<br/><br/>🧸 Play & Enrichment<br/>Daebagi is not very toy-driven.<br/><br/>• Shows little interest in squeaky toys or tug<br/>• Occasionally plays briefly with a tennis ball<br/>• Enjoys chewing items like Benebone for short periods<br/><br/>His primary enrichment comes from walks, sniffing, and outdoor activity.<br/><br/>📏 Measurements<br/>Neck: 36 cm (14.2 in)<br/>Chest: 52 cm (20.5 in)<br/><br/>🏡 Ideal Home<br/>Daebagi would thrive in a home that:<br/><br/>• Can provide consistent daily walks (minimum twice per day)<br/>• Enjoys spending time outdoors<br/>• Understands leash management and dog social behavior<br/><br/>He is adaptable and easygoing indoors, making him a good fit for many households, as long as his exercise needs are met.<br/><br/>💛 Adoption Fee: $650<br/>Includes neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, veterinary exam, international health certificate, and international transport from South Korea.<br/><br/>💬 Why Daebagi<br/>Daebagi is a calm, easy companion at home and an enthusiastic explorer outside.
