Meet Cypress

Update from foster mom (3-28-23) - "Cypress is a very well behaved dog. Besides food, her next favorite thing is going for a ride in the car. She co-exists wonderfully with my two seniors, one male and one female. She really doesn't pay too much attention to them but she does follow me around everywhere I go. She is a bit TOO INTERESTED in cats. I would not trust her with mine and would recommend a cat-free home. With no cats around she becomes a couch potato. She is 100% housebroken and does very well in her crate. Cypress knows a few tricks....she will sit for treats and will shake hands on command. She is still a little quick to grab treats but we are working on it. She take correction well and will be a welcome addition to just about any home. Did I say that she absolutely LOVES riding in the car?"
Cypress was surrendered to a high kill shelter by her previous owner. She is 2-3 years of age and weighs 48 pounds. She is very sweet and knows how to sit and shake. She was reported to be house-trained and kennel trained by the people who surrendered her. Cypress is energetic and full of LOVE! She loves people and is good with other dogs. We are unsure as to how she is with cats right now so caution must be taken if there are any feline friends in her new home.
She recently tested negative for heartworm disease. She is spayed, current with vaccines and micro-chipped. Cypress appears to be a full Boxer but may be a mix - only a DNA test can determine that for sure. We can say that someone docked her tail so we are leaning toward maybe not a mix. Her suggested adoption donation is $350 to help offset the rescue's ever-increasing vet bills.
This lovely lady is expected to arrive in our rescue on March 26th BUT, she can only catch her freedom ride IF she has a home to go to when she arrives. If you would like to foster or adopt this sweet girl, please submit the adoption application through our website OneLifeToLiveRescue.com. After your application is reviewed and approved, a volunteer will be in touch to answer any questions that you may have. Be sure to ask about our very popular Foster to Adopt option. Thank you for considering a beautiful, rescued Boxer girl!!
After almost six months in foster, Cypress has FINALLY found her "forever" home. She will now be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of her life in Wilkes-Barre, PA where she will be very much loved!! Her new name is "Lola Bean".
