Crumpet's Story

Meet Crumpet!

Crumpet is an 11-week-old puppy from Athena’s breakfast litter, and she is the one who looks a little different from the rest of the bunch. While several of her siblings are long and low with short legs and wispy coats, Crumpet has a more traditional puppy build. She has long legs, a smooth coat and a look that reminds us of a little Labrador Retriever.

Crumpet is a happy, affectionate puppy who loves her people. She has a sweet, social personality and likes to stay close to her foster mom. Wherever her person goes, Crumpet is usually right behind her, making sure she doesn't miss anything important.

Those long legs also come in handy when Crumpet decides it's time to run! She loves racing around the yard with her siblings and showing off her puppy speed. She is playful and curious, but she also has a softer side and enjoys settling down with her people when the excitement is over.

Crumpet hasn't had her own DNA test, but her brother Java's Wisdom Panel results showed 24% American Pit Bull Terrier, 14% Shih Tzu, 9% Chihuahua, 8% Rottweiler, 6% Bichon Frise, 6% Poodle, 6% Labrador Retriever, 6% Staffordshire Terrier and 5% Rat Terrier, along with several other breeds. With 17 breeds showing up in Java's DNA, there are clearly plenty of possibilities hiding in this litter!

Like all of Athena's puppies, Crumpet is looking for a family who understands that puppies need patience, training, supervision and plenty of time to learn how to be good dogs. She will need a physically fenced yard for safe play and exercise.

Crumpet has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and has received her first two distemper/parvo vaccines. Her adopter will be responsible for her last distemper/parvo vaccine and her rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful puppy with long legs, a Lab-like look and a personality that says, “Where you go, I go,” Crumpet might be your girl.

If you’d like to meet Crumpet, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org.

If you have questions about Crumpet, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657.

Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Indoor homes only.
Adoption Fee: $300

Our dogs are all in foster homes. We require a completed application prior to meeting one of our dogs. The adoption application is on our website: furfunrescue.org. Once the application is received, we check the veterinarian reference if you have or have had pets. Then we contact you to set up a time to meet the dog. If, after meeting the dog you want to proceed with an adoption, we will run a background check, call personal references, and do a home visit. We always introduce our dog to any current pets. The final step is completing the adoption contract.
