Crouton's Story

Crouton may be named after a crunchy little soup topping, but this boy is more like the whole meal. 🍲

At just 8 months old, Crouton is still very much a puppy and all legs, wiggles, zoomies, and enthusiasm. We have him listed as a Pointer mix, but your guess is honestly as good as ours. Bird dog? Hound? A little pittie tossed in like the secret ingredient? Whatever the recipe, the end result is one seriously lovable dog.

Crouton is the kind of pup that goes from full-speed backyard antics to melting directly into your lap like he's convinced he's actually 12 pounds. He is incredibly affectionate and loves leaning into pets, soaking up attention, and being wherever his people are. He has a goofy, happy personality that makes him hard not to love.

Because he is still a young guy, Crouton will need a family ready for all the normal puppy things: continued training, structure, exercise, patience, and lots of positive outlets for that busy puppy brain. He would thrive with an active family that wants a sidekick for adventures, walks, playtime, and continued learning.

He's sweet, fun, affectionate, and just an all around good dude trying to figure out the world one zoomie at a time.

If you're interested in adopting Crouton, please fill out an application at effinghamcountyhumanesociety.org

His adoption fee is $225 and includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Meet and greets are required for any potential canine siblings.
