Cricket's Story

Karen, Cricket, Cookie . . . she is back with us, with all of her names. Five years of age, we are looking for a best home for this Carolina Dog who certainly deserves it. Things just didn't work out with the first home, for a myriad of reasons. Everyone who has been handling her since she has returned to us love her dearly. We know a bit more about her, we know she can be true and true a female Carolina -- but in the right situation, she will fit right in and show all of the wonderful characteristics this breed presents. Illinois Humane's Adoption Policy

Adopting a cat or dog from ILLINOIS HUMANE is a relatively easy task. You can visit our animals on-line at Petfinder and then contact us if you'd like to meet one of them in person. You can also visit with some of our animals during our offsite adoptions. We have a great volunteer staff to assist you in choosing the right pet for you, your family, your housing situation and your other animals. We do require an application to be completed for your adoption. ILLINOIS HUMANE also conducts a house check before approving each adoption. Our adoption fees are $150.00 for a dog and $50.00 for a cat. ILLINOIS HUMANE also ensures that each animal adopted is spay/neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. Become a supporte
