Cranberry (TN)'s Story

Cranberry is a happy, friendly 2-year-old rat terrier mix with a huge zest for life. She eagerly greets each day ready for plenty of active play. She loves catching thrown balls (and bringing them back!), engaging in games of tug, zooming around the yard (particularly if another dog will play chase with her), and going for leashed walks. Since she is athletic, agile, coordinated, and fast, with excellent recall, we think she'd probably excel in canine sports. But her gusto is balanced with a gentle, mild-mannered nature and a love for snuggling with her person and calmly chewing her toys or napping on the sofa. She weighs a sturdy 29 lbs., so she could potentially be a bit overwhelming for smaller dogs willing to wrestle with her, but she is respectful and deferential to other dogs, letting them call the shots. She does very much enjoy the company of other canines (and cats) but it's people who really light up her eyes and warm her heart. She greets strangers like old friends and treats her trusted people like they're the greatest thing in the world.

Cranberry is reliably house-trained with nice house manners--although she is still working on not jumping up on people in excitement and kissing their faces without permission. She is seeking adoption by an active household with a fenced yard (required) and a routine that gives her plenty of opportunity for exercise, mental stimulation, and physical affection. If your lifestyle matches Berry's, please check out her photo album at
https://imageevent.com/beales/fosters/cranberry
to see lots more photos and some videos of this darling gal.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/ From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info.
