Cowboy's Story
Meet Cowboy One of Our Longest Residents, Still Waiting for His Forever Home.

Some dogs come to the rescue and quickly find their families. Others, like Cowboy, wait...and wait...hoping that one day someone will finally see the incredible dog they've always been.

Cowboy is 7 years old and one of our longest residents. Our hearts break knowing he's spent so much time waiting when all he's ever wanted is a person to love.

Cowboy may take a little time to trust, especially around men, but his past doesn't define him. With patience, kindness, and understanding, you'll discover what we already know—that beneath his tough-guy name is the biggest softie you'll ever meet.

Once Cowboy loves you, he loves you with his whole heart. He'll happily soak up belly rubs, snuggle as close as he possibly can, and greet you with the cutest little howl that somehow comes from such a big dog. It's impossible not to smile around him.

When he's feeling playful, Cowboy is all about chasing a ball, zooming around the yard, and playing in the water. Turn on a sprinkler, grab the hose, or fill up a little pool, and you'll see pure joy written all over his face.

More than anything, Cowboy is searching for someone who will give him the chance he's waited so long for—a family that will show him that life can be safe, happy, and full of love.

He has spent enough nights wondering if anyone will ever choose him.

Could you be the one to finally change Cowboy's story? If you're not ready to adopt, fostering would also give this deserving boy the opportunity to experience life outside the shelter while he waits for his forever family.

Please like, share, and tag your friends. The more people who see Cowboy, the better chance he has of finally finding the home he's been waiting so patiently for. Let's make sure one of our longest residents doesn't spend another day wondering when his turn will come.
