Meet Spike! Spike is a 2-year-old American Bulldog with a big heart and an affectionate personality. He loves being close to his people and would happily be a giant lap dog if he could. He gets especially excited when his family comes home and enjoys scratches, cuddles, playing fetch, chasing around the yard, and trips to the dog park. Spike also does well with other dogs and has lived peacefully with cats.

Spike is house trained and crate trained, and he already knows some basic commands. He’s a smart boy who would likely thrive with continued structure and professional training. He can be stubborn at times, especially when he’s having fun outside, but overall he’s eager to be part of the family.

Spike’s ideal home would be one without very young children. He is sensitive to loud noises and the high energy that can come with younger kids, so he would likely do best in a calmer home with older children (around 10+), teens, or adults who can respect his space and help him feel comfortable.

Despite his sensitivities, Spike is a loving, loyal companion who wants affection and companionship. With the right home and understanding family, he has so much potential to be an amazing dog.
