I'm Lyla and I'm BLIND, beautiful, loving and capable. Even though I'm brave, I like to be assured that I'm okay. I'm 57 lbs. of miniature Australian Shepherd and 75% standard Poodle so that would be an Aussiedoodle making me a very smart dog. I'm white with apricot and my hair can be curly or like crushed velvet depending on how you groom me. I love to do tricks for dog friendly human treats like apple slices, peanuts, baked chips, crackers, Etc. Upon command or suggestion I excitedly stand up on my hind legs, sit, lay down, and shake hands and am so delighted when I'm asked to perform by my person or people. I may like to learn more tricks. I like to prance around the house looking for cats to play with. I love to cuddle and sit on your lap or on the footstool watching TV with popcorn or other treats you share with me. When you eat dinner just tell me to lay down and not beg and then I might be rewarded with a plate to lick. I love to sleep at night in my kennel and if you're going somewhere I voluntarily go into my kennel and await your instructions but PS: don't forget my doggy treats.<br/>Lyla was born blind and is 2 and 1/2 years old. She is fully trained and up-to-date on all Veterinary requirements as well as being spayed. If she is Led by leash around the perimeter of the yard she will stay in the yard without a leash. She can go up and down stairs by guiding her and saying "hup-up or hup-down". When taking a walk she should be guided that way up and down curbs and other things and told to turn left and turn right. Lyla likes a more quiet environment with a yard. She likes to play with cats but will chase them if they run. She probably likes other animals too and will get along with most dogs as long as they are not pushy with her. Lyla becomes anxious and Confused around young children and large social crowds. She is very afraid if a stranger walks up to her unannounced and she hasn't sensed them. "Yip,help me mama,yip!" She is comfortable to meet quieter people who touch or speak to her softly and gently. She likes to ride in the car, get petted, hugged, massaged and cuddled.
