Courtesy Post: Davidson's Story

Courtesy post: This is not WAG's dog, but we are helping find him a new home.

Meet Davidson. He was 3 in February 2026 and weighs around 115 lbs. Yes, he is a big boy and he is strong but he is very loving and adores cuddles. He is 59% Maremma Sheepdog and thrown in we have German Shephard, Malamute, Siberian Husky, Samoyed and Northern Inuit Dog. Yes, this all came from his DNA testing.

His original owner died and, because the family had no one to take him in, he spent 3 months tied up on a chain in front of his house. October of 2025 he was taken in by a foster in Sequim where he is now staying. He was neutered and fully vaccinated at that time.

He was raised with children as a puppy and had doggy and kitty friends but as he has matured, he has become a bit dog selective. We suggest he be the only family dog. He definitely needs an owner with dog experience. Although he is part livestock guard dog, he has spent his life as an indoor/outdoor dog enjoying the benefits of being a family dog curled up beside you at night and running in a large, 6 ft. fenced yard.

He loves people and is currently working with a trainer to teach him basic manners. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him as he has a kind and happy spirit. He just needs a family he can call his own.

If interested in Davidson or would like more information please call Jane at 360 681-0113.
