This beautiful boy’s name is Bruno and will gladly run circles around you and your family! Bruno is a one year old Tri colored aussie mix that loves long walks around the neighborhood, bubble parties, and chasing anything resembling a flirt pole! <br/><br/>Don’t be fooled, just because Bruno takes long naps in his kennel doesn’t mean he wouldn’t rather be running around playing every hour of the day. Due to his higher levels of energy Bruno needs a home filled with activity and<br/>structure. This breed thrives on a routine as well as mental and physical enrichment daily and will need a family that can keep up with him and give him endless pets and cuddles.<br/><br/>Bruno came from a beautiful family who misunderstood the needs of an Australian Shepherd and couldn’t fit him into their lifestyle. Bruno was saved from going to a shelter by a loving couple who has been fostering him with their two female Australian Shepherds, these ladies have been keeping him busy to say the least. Although the specifics of his puppyhood are unknown he has<br/>been learning how to adjust to a new home that has clear boundaries and rules for him while also enjoying plenty of play time. Having a family that will be patient and understanding with his training needs is non-negotiable and he will need a family that can give him a routine!<br/><br/>Because this breed is so owner obsessed, having a separate space for Bruno like a kennel is HIGHLY recommended for his safety and comfort. He does amazing in the kennel and thrives on getting some alone time throughout the day to decompress! Because Bruno loves attention, maybe a little more than the rest of us, he will do well in a house without smaller kids where he can be the star of the show!!<br/><br/>Bruno lives for bubbles and tug of war. He could spend the rest of his days chilling in the pool or chewing on long lasting chews! Bruno is the best walking buddy and although he is still learning how to walk politely on a leash he loves to tag along on any adventure and will recall with you on any long lead or flexi lead! He does well passing strangers and other dogs on leash and as long as he’s getting his sniffs in he is a happy camper. Bruno loves his toys with all his might so<br/>having other dogs or animals who respect his space or can be separated while enjoying a treat is ideal and will make sure all the fur babies stay happy! <br/><br/>These days you can find Bruno throwing hooves into the air and catching them, herding his foster parents on a walk, and rough housing with his foster sisters!<br/>Bruno needs a family who is familiar with the needs of his breed and can commit the time and energy it takes to fulfill him. Bruno needs exercise daily whether that looks like a 15 minute sniffy walk or 2-3 hours training with his meals and fulfilling his prey drive with a flirt pole. Bruno will not be happy as a couch potato. Bruno doesn’t like a loud chaotic home and will need to work on how to displace that anxiety when you have people over or are cooking in the kitchen<br/>with the music up a notch, whether it’s chewing a bone or licking a lickmat he will need an owner who can respect that and work through his anxiety with him to show him better behaviors instead of whining.<br/><br/>Owning Bruno will be like having a best friend over all of the time. Best friends love when they’re spending time together but they also love having time apart so learning how to balance that will, of course, be an adjustment when you take him home. This is a smart breed so teach Bruno any and every trick humanly possible and have fun!! He has already started learning impulse control through doorways, food that falls on the ground, and even getting in and out of the car. As high energy as Bruno is teaching him how to chill will be even more important and something all shepherds can struggle with so having an owner that has tons of PATIENCE and a willingness to learn not only about his breed but about what <br/>Bruno needs and how you can be a better handler is a MUST.
