Courage

She wasn't supposed to still be alive. Her family had made the appointment to have her euthanized, but the local vet wanted her to have second chance at life and Courage made her way to us.<br/>And our initial assessment - Courage is an absolute treasure. Can she ever be with cats or small dogs, no. But she played with some bigger dogs and had the time of her life, racing at top speed with them around the yard. She is a whippet mix, hence the speed, and six-years-old.<br/>Courage is a smidge submissive the first time she meets you - which is understandable to us. But once you hang out with her just one time, you are her friend for life. She greets you with her whole body wagging. Courage then wraps her legs around you, as if to say, thank you for taking a chance on me.<br/>Courage was excellent in the car and at our vet. She wiggled up to everyone there and crawled in many laps.<br/>We are thankful someone recognized this was not the end for Courage. And we wholeheartedly agree with them. We are confident we can find this amazing girl the perfect home - one full of love and acceptance.<br/>Please share her story - Courage is counting on all of us!
