Yes, it is hard to believe, but at only 10 months of age, he still weighs just 21 pounds! COTTONTAIL is listed by staff as a mixture of Lab and Mountain Cur. He is a creamy white with buff/yellow color and has some black and pink spots on his nose and he gets along famously with the other two dogs currently housed with him. Thanks to a partnership between the University of Tennessee and Cumberland County Animal Shelter, COTTONTAIL was neutered on Monday, April 8. As a result, he can go home the same day, that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and a leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a dog crate with you to the adoption appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
