Cotton's Story
### Meet Cotton

Meet **Cotton**, and prepare to have your heart stolen. This little 12-pound boy is absolutely magical.

Cotton spent the first **four years of his life as a breeder**, living in horrible conditions with barely any human contact. You might expect a dog with that history to be terrified of the world.

But Cotton apparently had other plans.

When he first arrived, he was shy, but nowhere near as shut down as some of the dogs we've seen who simply can't handle human contact. And it didn't take long for us to discover something pretty special about this little guy:

**Cotton LOVES his people.**

He craves being close to his humans. When my 83-year-old mom was visiting, Cotton spent hours curled up beside her on the couch, happily soaking up pets and cuddles.

And when he's not snuggling with his people, he's busy being a puppy at heart. In his foster home, he and his larger poodle-mix foster sister spend hours running, wrestling and playing together. He is sweet, playful, happy and just so incredibly endearing.

And then there's the way he asks to be picked up.

Cotton will walk over, put his tiny front paws up on you, look up with those big eyes, his ears sticking straight out **just like Dobby the Elf**, while his tiny nub tail is going **100 miles an hour**.

Honestly... how are you supposed to resist that?

After everything this little man has been through, Cotton has every reason to be afraid of the world. Instead, he chooses to trust. He chooses to love. He chooses cuddles, playtime and being as close to his people as possible.

**He's a tiny survivor with a giant heart, and we absolutely adore him.**

Now we're looking for the person who will make sure the rest of Cotton's life is everything his first four years should have been.

If you're looking for a little shadow, a cuddle bug, a playful companion and a whole lot of Dobby ears... **Cotton might just be your guy.**

Currently located in Pompton Lakes, NJ

Interested in adopting Cotton?
