Coraline Labrador Retriever & Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix Clarksville, VA

Coraline has suffered such a terrible life, yet loves everyone and is so happy to be alive. She came to us as a transfer from the county pound on 9/22/22 at age 4 years weighing 45 lbs. She had been abused, neglected and starved. Coraline soon gave birth to 8 puppies and was an amazing generous mother to all, doting on each. She underwent illness, many medical procedures, heartworm treatment, surgeries and months in the shelter without fuss or complaint, but with a beautiful spirit. Coraline is such a loving and surprisingly trusting soul, given what she has been though. She deserves a great forever home! Coraline is spayed and vaccinated and was treated to eliminate heartworms.

She got along with the 4 dogs she previously lived with, but in a shelter setting, has not gotten along with other dogs. She barks and acts like she'll go after them when passing by all the different fenced areas with dogs on her way outside to the outdoor areas. Sometimes, dogs in a shelter get riled up over other dogs unlike they would in a home setting though.
