Coral's Story

I was spotted running scared off a freeway and on the hills wearing a shiny new harness but didn't know people were trying to help so ran. After several weeks of posts looking for who might be missing me or see me again, I showed up without my harness and even more scared. Some great people put food out. I stayed a day or two but left again. Another month later, I came back and.was humanely trapped. Despite my harness in the beginning and a diligent search for an owner, no one came to claim me during my stray processing. The more shocking part is that I am just a big puppy, at only about a year old, and at some point someone loved me. I LOVE people, including kids, know tricks and think life is a party. I may have been scared on my own but definitely knew a family. I am the one pushed to the front to say hello when kids come by at events. I have a silly goofy side that fits perfectly with my expressive eyes and wrinkly brows. I am a BIG lanky girl so I'll need someone willing to fine tune my learning and leash skills. I am eager to please and will do ANYTHING for food so a blank slate for you to write my future. Volunteers have been working on my circus tricks and currently know: Sit, Down, Shake (both paws), High Five, Wave, Roll Over and Leave it. All of these I will gladly do at TOP speed to really blow your socks off!

Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows. No off leash activites for life in unfenced areas. I need to stay safe.

To adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/37765/generic

To foster: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/37764/generic

Email: awayhomefordogs@gmail.com
