Copper's Story

Hi, I'm Copper!

I'm 95 pounds of loose wrinkles, massive hound ears, and pure affection. My previous home never really worked on training with me, but I'm showing everyone how eager I am to learn. The best foundation is already locked down: I'm reliably house-trained and settle quietly in my crate without a peep! Right now, we're practicing leash manners so I learn to stroll politely with you rather than letting my hound nose take the wheel.

I do great with other dogs, too! I also grew up sharing space with chickens and geese, so feathered friends don't bother me in the slightest. Cats definitely spark my curiosity, but truth be told, I'm a total softie—one firm boundary or swat from a feline and I respectfully back away.

Health-wise, I'm in great shape: neutered, fully caught up on all my vaccines, and tested completely negative for heartworm and tick illnesses!

If you love big, gentle hounds and want a devoted giant to lean into you on the rug, come meet me!
