I’m Copper! 🧡<br/><br/>I’m a playful, curious puppy who was found roaming the Mississippi fields with my best buddy Pistachio 🌾🐾. We were having the time of our lives—romping, playing, and getting into all kinds of puppy mischief 😄. But my rescue friends knew that as cute as that life looked, it wouldn’t be safe or fair for us as we grow up… so here I am, ready for my next big adventure—a forever home! 🏡✨<br/><br/>I’m a total goofball and LOVE having fun with my friends 🤪🐕. Mischief? Oh yes… I dabble in that! LOL. I’m still a baby, which means I need consistent training, lots of socializing, and plenty of playtime to help me grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be 🧠💪.<br/><br/>⏰ Because I’m still learning the ropes, my future family can’t leave me alone for more than 3 hours a day. I’m currently eating 3 meals a day 🍽️ and need frequent potty breaks 🚪🌳—puppy life is BUSY!<br/><br/>🎓 Training classes are required for me. Puppies may be cute (okay, I’m VERY cute 😇), but I also come with responsibility. Sometimes humans fall in love with the looks and forget the work—and that’s how puppies miss out on proper training and social skills. That wouldn’t be fair to me at all 💔.<br/><br/>My rescue is committed to helping puppies succeed—not fail 💯. I’m a loving boy with so much potential, just waiting for the right family to help me shine 🌟💛<br/><br/>If interested in Copper, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com.<br/><br/>Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:<br/><br/>Thorough veterinary examination.<br/>All routine annual vaccinations, including<br/>Rabies, DHLPP<br/>Bordetella (Kennel Cough)<br/>Heartworm Test<br/>Fecal Test, Deworming<br/>Microchip<br/>Flea and Tick Prevention<br/>Heartworm Prevention.<br/>Spay/Neuter<br/>All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.<br/><br/>VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.<br/><br/>HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
