Copper Chihuahua Savannah, GA

Copper is an engaging, energetic, playful pup that you would never guess was a senior dog! He is incredibly sweet, cuddly, and full of joy, and he will have you wrapped around his paw in mere seconds! This darling male Chihuahua mix likes to be the center of attention. There is so much to love about a spirited little dog that loves car rides (prefers to sit on your lap in the
front seat), loves to play with toys (a small tennis ball can keep him entertained for hours), and
will snuggle next to you on the couch to comfort you during a scary movie (but he will probably
burrow under a blanket and not actually watch the scary parts).

Copper can also be content simply relaxing at home. He is comfortable in a crate, but probably doesn’t need to be crated because he seems to self-manage well and is not destructive. Copper instantly became friends with his foster siblings – 4 dogs (both large and small!) and a
cat (Copper chased the cat at first, but now understands the cat is family). Copper is quite social and enjoys a lot of interaction with the humans and the other dogs in the household, so he would thrive best in a multi-dog household. He would also likely be fine in a family that has gentle older children.

This 8 lb. spry little sweetheart is about 9 years young, up to date on shots and ready for his forever family. Copper is potty-trained, but he was neutered rather late in life, so he still marks inside the house regularly out of habit – he is very comfortable wearing a belly band as an easy fix to the marking behavior, so that his humans don’t have to clean up any messes.
