Copper's Story
Meet Copper!

Copper is a 3-year-old, 63 lb mixed-breed boy with a beautiful tricolor coat and a heart that just wants to be loved. Copper didn’t have the easiest start in life—he was kept tied up outside and unfortunately wasn’t well cared for. But you’d never know it by meeting him today. Copper is a happy-go-lucky guy who absolutely loves people and attention!

If Copper could have his way, he’d be right beside you all day long. When his foster mom is doing the dishes, Copper stands right next to her, leaning against her legs. And if she sits down on the floor? Well, naturally, Copper thinks that means it’s lap time! He loves being brushed, getting attention, and simply being near his people.

Copper enjoys going for walks and takes his job as neighborhood inspector very seriously—he sniffs EVERYTHING! He’s also learning how to play fetch, although he’s still working on the important part of bringing the ball back.

He is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows commands such as sit and off. He responds well to verbal correction and learns quickly.

Copper is very social and loves meeting new people. He may bark when someone is a stranger, but he is friendly overall. He can be a little nervous around unexpected loud noises, but he recovers quickly.

Copper would enjoy having another easygoing dog to keep him company. He does need a home without cats, as he likes to chase them. A fenced yard is also required so Copper can safely enjoy his outdoor time without taking off after a squirrel or cat.

Most of all, Copper is looking for someone who will give him what he’s always deserved: love, attention, companionship, and a place where he can finally feel safe and cherished.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Copper might just be your guy!

Copper’s highlights:
3 years old
63 lbs
Mixed breed
Friendly & affectionate
Playful and smart
Potty trained
Crate trained
Knows sit & off
Loves walks and attention
Good with other dogs
No cats
Fenced yard required

Copper will be neutered on September 8. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, is microchipped and is on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention.

His adoption fee is $350.

If interested in Copper, please follow the link below for the adoption application.
