He came to us from a puppy mill in Pennsylvania, so the world was a big, scary place for him at first. When he arrived, Copper was shy and unsure of his surroundings—but in just two short months, his transformation has been incredible. Each day, his personality grows a little more, and it’s been truly special to watch him come out of his shell.<br/>Copper is a gentle soul who is learning how to trust and enjoy the simple things in life—like a cozy place to rest and the comfort of a caring human nearby. He will need a patient and understanding adopter who can continue guiding him as he builds confidence. Copper is still working on house training and learning how to walk on a leash, so he’ll do best with someone committed to helping him learn at his own pace.<br/>Because of his past, Copper does have some food aggression and would be best suited for a calm, adult-only home without other pets.
