Meet Coozie in MA - Loves Everyone He Meets!

Meet Coozie: a lovable hunk of a guy who is vacationing with foster friends and enjoying the luxury of regular meals, lots of sunshine, and playtime. Rescued from a life of listless wandering with another dog and routed to NGPR for brighter days, Coozie is a young fluff ball of love with a winning smile and a dazzling personality. He has yet to meet a dog or person he doesn't like, and he's the type of pal you'll want around all the time since he brings so much openness, levity, and friendship to every situation. Coozie is confident, outgoing, and energetic while maintaining good manners and listening skills (well, for a Pyr!). He's even been gentle with a few dog-savvy outdoor cats that he's met. Coozie is crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and we're willing to bet he'll pick up on all sorts of tricks and commands with the right family who works with him. With summer on the way, Coozie is the perfect guy to cozy up with during cookouts with friends, family, and a drink in hand - just be sure everyone keeps one hand free for lots of pets!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
