Meet Cooper - DRD Program

***** AVAILABLE DECEMBER 2021 *****
Cooper is an older gentleman; about ten years old. Cooper was sent to the Death Row Dogs training program for the socialization and to work to make him a more comfortable and confident dog. Cooper came to Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky after his owner passed away. He lived in a home with some other dogs, but not much interaction with any other people. While in a foster home, he warmed up to his foster mom once he got to know her. Cooper is a poodle/spaniel mix. Cooper can be a little nippy if he feels threatened. Cooper is working on his housetraining at Death Row Dogs. Cooper may have some hearing loss.

Cooper is a Death Row Dog, currently enrolled in a prison training program at the Green River Correctional Complex, in Central City, KY. Each dog lives in a cell with two trainers. This is a 12-week intense training program that is designed for the dog's unique behavior needs as well as basic obedience, house training, crate training and of course, tricks.

DRD dogs are very popular, so be sure to apply early if you are interested in adopting. To learn more about the Death Row Dogs Program visit www.deathrowdogs.petfinder.org.
