Cooper's Story

Meet Cooper!
This handsome guy is a 3 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix. He is the definition of gentle giant, and is so incredibly sweet. We've quickly fallen in love, and we're sure you will too!
Cooper was surrendered to us alongside his sister, Shiloh. They were brought to us through no real fault of their own, as they just weren't a good fit for their previous owner. Their owner had been looking for livestock guardian dogs, and met a guy that was rehoming this pair. Cooper and Shiloh were raised as house dogs, though, so they didn't have any training to protect livestock. They are really great dogs, but they're just too used to being pampered! Cooper did well with the livestock on the farm, but wasn't chasing off the predators like his owner needed. Now, he's here for a fresh start!
Cooper is a very large boy, currently weighing in at 93 pounds. Please be mindful of this if considering adopting him, as he is going to need plenty of space to accommodate his big size! Cooper gets along great with other dogs and kids, but he hasn't been around many children that we know of. We always recommend a meet and greet with the whole family before adopting to make sure it's a good fit. The only medical issue we know of with Cooper is that he's allergic to food with chicken in it, so his owner will just need to be careful when selecting food and treats.
Cooper is such a sweet boy, and he really deserves a home where he can be spoiled again! He is housebroken and knows a few commands, and has been been started on his first round of vaccinations. He is now ready to go to his forever home - so stop by and meet him today! Cooper and his sister do not have to be adopted out together, but if you are interested in the pair, there is a discount to adopt two animals at once.
