Cooper could be that dream come true dog for someone active who enjoy spending their time with a very lovable and super-smart companion. <br/><br/>Cooper, at 8 months old and 35 lbs (anticipated full-grown of approximately 38 - 40lbs full grown) is the perfect medium size to go everywhere a sweet dog is welcome. He is believed to be a Cattle Dog / Bluetick Coonhound mix. We don't perform DNA tests. All we know for certain is that this guy is irresistible. <br/><br/>Cooper loves all those who are kind to him. He'll happily engage in playing and once comfortable in his new home, will be entertaining in his silly antics, young energy and the huge love he wants to share with his favorite people.<br/><br/>Cooper's story is all too common. A guardian who can no longer care for a dog and hasn't made any arrangements for their care is often quick to turn to their local shelter for relinquishment. However, luck was with sweet Cooper. He was saved from the shelter due to his gorgeous looks (these photos don't do his adorable looks justice), engaging manner and very sweet and friendly personality.<br/><br/>From Cooper's foster:<br/>"Cooper is a wonderful pup!!! He is good in his crate, super friendly, loves other dogs, and picked up potty training fast! He is a smart, friendly boy who will make someone happy!"<br/><br/>Cooper will do well with a family who's invested in spending time with their pup. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure. It can be a long hike along the gorgeous trails of Colorado, a visit with friends, a car ride or just an afternoon spending time together flopped down on the couch - all would speak to Cooper's great temperament and love of his family. Farfel's isn't open to a home where everyone spends their days working full-time outside of the home. We'd like Cooper to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle.<br/><br/>We expect that Cooper (once given a sudsy bath) will have a stunning coat that is consistent with his breed mix. Current research is clear that a human grade, natural diet is the best choice for our dogs for fewer vet visits and far greater longevity. Farfel's recommends Chi Diet (chidog.com) through personal experience for the longest life for our best friends.<br/><br/>Cooper will be up to date on his vetting / vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to stay true to our work to control the growth of the canine population.<br/><br/>Cooper will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 9/16/2026.
