Meet Cooper

Cooper was transferred to us from another shelter facility in homes of finding his furrever home. He has the long basset body, ears, and short legs; but has the ACD coloring and "stubborness." Due to certain triggers; like touching his ears, grabbing his collar, picking up, etc, we are looking for a no child home and one where he can relax and have his own space. Cooper would most likely do well with another older dog that does not invade his space, however we do not have anything like that here to test. He did extremely well with our lobby cats when we tested him. He does seem to have some separation anxiety and "hound" barks in his kennel when he is not around people. He does quiet down when interacted with by staff.
