Yes, but please keep in mind that they must be taught to respect the dog’s space, belongings, and food.
• HOUSEBROKEN? NOT 100% YET. As a dog rescued off the street and transitioning from living on indoor tile/ outdoor dirt surfaces in Mexico, they'll need time and patience to adjust to a new environment, but most of our dogs adapt to a potty routine within 1-2 weeks with consistent training.

🐾 Meet COOPER 🐾

Cooper was originally owned by an elderly man who could no longer care for him, so a friend stepped in to help. Unfortunately, a male dog at the friend's house and he have not been getting along smoothly, so he's now in search of a new home, through no fault of his own.

This stunning Old English Sheepdog mix—with all that beautiful gray and white fur, that bearded face, those soulful eyes—is a loving soul who has had to wander from place to place during his first years, never truly belonging. When he first arrived at his current home, he was withdrawn at first, uncertain about yet another change in his life. But soon enough, his true personality emerged: bright, friendly, and absolutely ball-obsessed.

Cooper is a fetch fanatic. Throw a ball and he's off like a shot, that shaggy body bounding across the yard, bringing it back and dropping it at your feet with his tail wagging. Again. And again. And again. He could play fetch all day if you let him. As a herding breed, Cooper has energy and intelligence that need outlets. Without adequate exercise, he'll get bored, and a bored sheepdog is not a happy sheepdog! A few good walks or play sessions each day would likely be sufficient.

But Cooper isn't just energy and activity—he's also incredibly affectionate. After a good play session, he'll settle down next to you, that big shaggy head resting on your knee, looking up at you with complete trust. He's the kind of dog who greets you like you've been gone for years even if you just stepped outside for five minutes. His presence fills a room—not just because of his big fluff, but because he radiates this gentle, happy energy that makes everyone around him smile. Kids love him. He's just one of those dogs who makes the world feel a little bit better.

"He's so great with everyone," his foster gushes. "Not only humans of all ages, but also cats, horses, and other animals." The only caveat is other male dogs—to be safe, he'd do best in a home with female dogs only, or as an only dog.

An important thing to note about Cooper is that he'd do best with regular grooming. That means brushing at least 3-4 times a week to prevent matting, and professional grooming every ~2 months.

What Cooper needs is someone committed to both his physical and grooming needs. An active person or family who loves outdoor activities, who'll play fetch until their arm gets tired, who enjoys having a big, friendly companion on hikes or runs. Someone who'll give him structure, exercise, and the consistency he hasn't always had.

Cooper is only two years old—he's got so much life ahead of him. He's friendly, playful, and ready to bond deeply with the right person. He just needs someone who sees past the challenges and recognizes what a wonderful companion he could be.

Are you ready for a big, shaggy, ball-obsessed best friend who'll fill your days with play, your walks with companionship, and your life with that special kind of joy that only a devoted dog can bring?

*************************

📝 Ready to apply?
