Cooper (65 lbs)'s Story
COOPER – Greyhound/Mountain Cur Mix

3 yr Male , 65 lbs

Good with dogs, cats and kids

Cooper is a true gentleman with a heart full of love! Cooper is an obedient, affectionate, and intelligent boy who forms strong bonds with his humans and quickly warms up to new people, including children. He loves being close to his family—whether that means following you around the house or calmly relaxing on his bed while you’re busy. He thrives on companionship and absolutely adores cuddles.

At home, Cooper is exceptionally well-m annered. He has been trained not to counter surf or jump on furniture, doors, or window sills. He is fully crate trained and housetrained, and he treats his environment with respect—never chewing or taking household items. He has a soft mouth and enjoys gently carrying his toys without destroying them.

Cooper enjoys both physical activity and mental stimulation, especially puzzle toys. He’s very food motivated, which makes him eager to learn, yet he shows no signs of food guarding. He’s quiet and calm, rarely barking unless he senses something outside. Truly, he’s the perfect house guest!

While Cooper is generally unfazed by everyday noise, occasional unexpected sounds may catch his attention. He is excitable at times but not reactive, and he can be handled comfortably anywhere on his body. On walks, Cooper is friendly with other dogs. He may be shy at first but warms up quickly. Like many dogs, he has prey drive for squirrels and rabbits! He’s currently working on improving his leash manners and is making great progress—he’s attentive and eager to please, and he does not lunge. A classic couch potato at heart, Cooper loves to relax after his walks or playtime—true to his gentle, laid-back nature. He has previously lived with a Great Dane and was respectful of shared spaces, showing excellent social manners.

Cooper would do best in a home with a fenced yard . Due to his size, a household with older children is recommended.

Adoption Fee: $498

If you are interested in adoption, instead of emailing PARS, please download the Application form at:
www.peelanimalrescuesociety.com/adopt-a-dog
Fill the form and email to:
info@peelanimalrescuesociety.com
