Cookie's Story

We've heard of a smart cookie, and we all love a sweet cookie. Our Cookie is the perfect mix of smart and sweet. This darling little Catahoula Leopard Dog mix was born around November 2025. Shelter volunteers immediately fell in love with her gentle and affectionate personality. Though she's a little shy when meeting new people, her adorable wagging tail is always ready to say "Hello!" Bonus: her gorgeous coat even resembles a chocolate chip cookie!

Cookie is a young, adaptable pup who is eager to learn and ready to become part of a loving family. She bonds with people, but we have learned she is afraid of small children. Cookie seems to like other dogs. Like any youngster, she is working very hard on her potty-training skills. To be fair, a pup in a shelter must wait longer hours for an outdoor break than a pup in a home. Our smart Cookie will thrive with a regular schedule at home. With patience and positive reinforcement, we have no doubt she will quickly learn your routine.

While she isn't well-suited to apartment living due to her loud voice, Cookie is ready to make your house a home. If you're looking to expand your family by four paws, our sweet, smart, and lovable girl is waiting for you. The first step? Simply complete the following application, and a volunteer will be in touch.

https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application

FOPAS is primarily run by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and are dedicated to our animals for their entire lives.
