Cookie Shepherd Mix Loveland, CO

Meet lovely Ms. Cookie. 3 year old, shepherd mix female, around 45-50 pounds. Cookie needs a hero, is it you? Some days she is brave and happy, and other days, she hides in the closet and is afraid to go outside (altho those days are getting fewer and fewer). She needs a loving person to bond to, so she can forget whatever bad happened to her, and continue becoming the happy, loving dog that is emerging more every day!

She is crate-trained and housebroken and is good on a leash. She knows several commands including sit, down, watch me and touch. (we're still working on "come!")

Cookie is good with other dogs, but she doesn't always like to share things, so if you have other dogs, keep that in mind. It took her a few days to warm up to the foster's dogs, but after a day she was happy to play with them. She doesn't know her own strength tho, so can play a little rough. So she'd be better in a home with animals her size or larger (no small dogs or cats).

Cookie is also an escape artist. The ideal home for Cookie to be her very best self would be a home with a 6 foot privacy fence, or yes, an APARTMENT! She doesn't have a high need for exercise, so she'd do well just about anywhere. But she also is happy to walk or run with you as well, she's adaptable.
