Cookie is a very sweet, friendly, smooth-coated Border Collie mix who is ready for her new home! She is 18-24 months old, a great weight at just 31 pounds, and she has a short black and white coat with white feet and a few white hairs at the very tip of her tail. Cookie is housebroken, crate-trained and knows just a few obedience commands. She is a great passenger in the car and she walks nicely on leash!
Don’t let that serious look fool you - Cookie loves people! She is a little shy when she first meets someone new but she warms up quickly. Cookie is a medium Velcro girl who likes to be close to her humans but not underfoot. Cookie also loves other dogs! She loves to chase and be chased and is always up for a game with her foster dog pal or any new dog she meets. Cookie is a medium energy dog – outside she likes to chase around in short bursts of energy, inside she enjoys rope toys and chewable bones, and when playtime is over Cookie is ready for a good roll in the grass or a snuggle on the couch! Cookie has not been tested with cats.
The ideal home for Cookie includes a family who is ready for a little sweetie to love, train and share in the fun. A fenced yard and another playful, medium energy dog are important, and children over the age of 10 are welcome. She is a “smart cookie”, so a family who will continue her training would be ideal.
