Conrad<br/>2 years, 10lbs<br/>Rescued in the Southwest<br/><br/>Meet Conrad, a two-year-old, 10lb Skye Terrier mix with a whole lot of personality packed into a small package. Rescued from the Southwest, this energetic and curious little guy is a true people-lover who greets every human he meets with friendliness and enthusiasm. He's wonderfully in tune with his surroundings, mirroring the energy around him, so if you're winding down on the couch, Conrad is more than happy to curl up beside you for some quality snuggle time. He's social with other dogs too, always eager to say hello on walks, though he does appreciate good manners in return and will set boundaries if another pup gets snippy. <br/>Conrad is potty trained, knows sit and paw, and does well on a leash (just watch for tempting street snacks along the way!). At night, he settles happily into a pen, and while he gives a little whimper when left alone, he adjusts well over time, especially with a consistent routine and some encouraging treats.<br/><br/>Conrad would thrive with an adopter who's ready to match his energy, both the high-spirited kind and the snuggly kind. He loves his daily walks (ideally three or four, given how much zest he has for life) and could happily spend hours playing with his beloved cow toy or meeting new canine friends along the route. He's a great fit for apartment living and would do best in an at-least-moderately active household, whether he's your only pet or has a canine sibling to keep him company. He's still working on slowing down at mealtime, so a slow feeder would help him out. But beyond the small stuff, Conrad is, at his core, an incredibly loving and gentle soul who will return every bit of affection you give him, and then some. Oh, and keep an eye out for his signature happy quirk: a little back-leg stomp when you scratch just the right spot.
