Colleen's Story

Colleen was found on the side of a highway, where she had been for four days with a broken leg. We took her in and the vet saved her leg, She's still learning to use her leg again and has a bit of a limp we are sure will fade with time.
Colleen has turned out to be a very sweet girl with a delightfully silly personality. She has a very unique way of communicating, and is very very smart. Her estimated age as of January 2026 is one year old.
She is still growing and gaining weight. Due to her injury we believe Colleen will do best in a non working home. She is puppy pad trained and does well in the house. She is very friendly, but can get scared easily by things she is unsure of. Her injury causes awkward movement and to be sure she won't reinjure her leg a home with children 10 years old and older would be best. Colleen gets along well with other dogs and is especially fond of young puppies.
