Coletta's Story

Coletta is one of those dogs who makes you want to slow down and give her a little time.
This sweet mix-breed girl is wonderfully mellow and is just waiting for someone to give her the chance to really come out of her shell. We have a feeling there is a whole lot more personality hiding behind that calm exterior, just waiting for the right home to bring it out.
Coletta doesn’t need someone looking for the wildest or most energetic dog in the room. She needs someone willing to give her patience, affection, and the security of knowing she finally has people she can count on.
Give Coletta a little time, and we think you’ll get to watch a very special girl blossom.

Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can click on "More About Us" to the right and then click on "Adoption Application" button which will take you to our website where you can actually apply. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $200. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP.
