****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. <br/> Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. He’s spent some time moving from place to place, and all he really wants is a "safe haven" where the furniture stays the same and the love is constant.<br/><br/>⚡️ Don’t Let the "Kennel Jitters" Fool You!<br/>If you walk past Cole’s kennel, you’ll likely see him jumping and doing his best "pogo stick" impression. Don’t be intimidated—that’s just his way of saying, "Please, let’s go for a walk!" As soon as he clips onto a leash and steps outside, that frantic energy melts away. He’s just a playful, active boy who is understandably eager to get out and explore the world with a friend.<br/><br/>Why Cole is a Hidden Gem:<br/>The "Slow-Burn" Best Friend: Like many sensitive souls, Cole is a little cautious with new faces. But once you earn his trust? You’ve got a shadow for life. His capacity for affection is huge, and he’ll reward your patience with endless tail wags and leans.<br/><br/>Pro-Social: Cole gets along well with other dogs! He prefers a "slow and steady" introduction so he can feel secure, but once he’s comfortable, he’s a fantastic playmate.<br/><br/>Resilient & Ready: Despite a string of transitions, Cole hasn’t lost his spirit. He’s looking for a quiet, stable home where he can finally stop looking over his shoulder and start being the star of the family.<br/><br/>The Perfect Adventure Partner: As a young Lab mix, he’s got the perfect energy level for hiking, fetch in the yard, or long evening strolls.<br/><br/>📋 Cole’s Stats:<br/>Age: 2.5 years (Prime time!)<br/><br/>Personality: High-energy at first, but deeply affectionate and loyal once settled.<br/><br/>Health: Neutered, heartworm negative, and fully up to date on all vaccinations.<br/><br/>Cole is a good boy who has just had a run of bad luck.
