Welcome Coda! Coda is a beautiful 4-year-old red & white basset who was recently surrendered to SBR by a breeder. Were happy to say that her breeding days are officially behind her! Now, its her turn to discover what it truly means to be someone's beloved family member.<br/><br/>Like many former breeder dogs, Coda is still learning that the world is a safe and wonderful place. Everyday experiences—soft beds, squeaky toys, neighborhood walks, treats, and even a comfy couch—are all new adventures for this sweet girl. While she's understandably a little shy and uncertain right now, we know that with patience, love, and encouragement, her confidence will continue to grow.<br/><br/>Because she's taking her cues from other dogs, Coda will do best in a home with at least one friendly, confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. Ideally, her forever family will have experience with—or be willing to learn about—the unique needs of former breeder dogs as they adjust to life in a home.<br/><br/>For now, Coda is settling in with a wonderful foster family, where she's beginning to experience all the comforts she's been missing. As she completes her medical care and we learn more about her personality, well be excited to share updates on her journey.
