Meet COCONUT this SATURDAY, MAY 30 from 12-3PM at our PET ADOPTION EVENT at the MERRIAM PETSMART located at 5810 Antioch Rd, Merriam, KS 66202. Join us at Merriam Petsmart and meet your perfect match. We’ll have DOGS, PUPPIES & KITTIES ready to steal your heart! ALSO THIS WEEKEND: SATURDAY, MAY 30 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT at the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes! WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS FOR ADOPTIONS: SATURDAY, MAY 30: CLOSED (Visit our pet adoption events!) SUNDAY, MAY 31: OPEN 10AM - 3PM, NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED! KCK Animal Services is located at 3301 Park Drive, KCK. ——————— COCONUT is an adorable 1 year old Frenchie! She's a sweet, friendly little gal. She is good with other dogs. Coconut weighs 17 lbs. Sadly, Coconut tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we’d love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, Coconut will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! Come meet Coconut at our Merriam PetSmart event on Saturday! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
