Cocoa's Story

Hi everybody, my name is Coco ♥️ and apparently my intake photo at the shelter made me look like a big dog… but surpriseeeee, I’m actually a fun-sized Rottie mix. Tiny queen 👑

I’m around 30 pounds, which honestly makes me the perfect size because you can scoop me up like a little baby when I decide walking is optional for the day.

I came into rescue with three other dogs, and while nobody knows much about my past, I’ve decided I’m only moving forward with love, snacks, naps, and cuddling. That’s my brand now ♥️

If you’re looking for the most cat-friendly dog ever, congratulations 🎉 you found me. I LOVE cats. Big fan 🐈♥️ Honestly, they don’t smell as bad as the other rescue dogs claim they do. I also love other dogs, but I prefer the respectful ones. If another dog is bouncing off the walls in my face every five seconds, I’m probably going to look at them like “please lower your volume.” Kind of like you all do with your kids 🫣

My foster family says I’m basically the easiest roommate ever. I’m amazing in my crate, I sleep through the night, I don’t destroy things, and I’ve had zero accidents. I mostly just want to quietly exist near my people and occasionally convince someone to share snacks with me 👀

At the shelter I was super scared and would pancake 🥞 myself onto the ground so people had to carry me outside. Now that I feel safe, my real personality is coming out, and apparently I’m actually funny, affectionate, curious, and kind of stubborn in the cutest way possible 🥹

I do walk on a leash, but sometimes I like to pause and evaluate whether your plans align with my personal goals for the day. Usually a soft treat helps me reconsider 😉

I have two barks. One is my serious “stranger outside the fence” alert 🔔 bark, and the other is my tiny “umm excuse me, I would also like to be included with the group please” bark 😏

I love soft food, warm kibble with broth, cuddles, peaceful company, and being told I’m pretty… which thankfully happens often.

Basically, if you want a calm, loving little shadow who is cat-approved, couch-approved, and portable enough to carry around, I’m your girl.

Hope to see you soon! ♥️🐾
Love,
Coco
