COCO’S STORY <br/><br/>This dear poodle is now fully vetted and ready for his forever home. He came to us from a Quebec shelter. His family surrendered him when they could no longer take care of Coco. <br/><br/>Coco is a beautiful apricot poodle. He is 9 years old and weighs about 10 pounds. <br/><br/>Coco is a friendly, lively dog. Don’t let his age fool you! He is bright and active and loves to be busy. He has settled in nicely to the routines in his foster home. He loves to go for walks and is very active. He enjoys several walks every day. He walks nicely on leash using a harness. He meets other dogs in a nice way - with a sniff and no signs of aggression. Coco also enjoys cuddling on the couch for a nice snuggle. He enjoys playing with his soft toys.<br/><br/>He is sharing his foster home with two other small dogs. He has been respectful and is ok sharing his toys. He loves his food and sometimes wants the other dogs' food too - so must be supervised during meal times.<br/><br/>Coco is in an adult home and we feel due to his age he is best suited to a home with older children.<br/><br/>He does well on a regular routine and goes out often for bathroom breaks. He may have an accident in the home if not let out often. Coco has a loud bark for a small dog. He barks when he hears something outside or when someone comes to the door. He barks when he is excited. For this reason we feel he is best suited to a house. He is not safe off-leash so a safely fenced back yard is recommended. <br/><br/>Cocos is used to having some around during the day. He is best suited to a home where he will not be left alone for long hours every day.<br/><br/>He needs to be brushed frequently and will require regular grooming.<br/><br/>Coco had dentistry and many rotten teeth were removed. For this reason it is important that his food and treats are soft.<br/><br/>Coco is up to date on his vaccinations and microchipped. He is negative for heart worm and tick borne diseases. He is on monthly prevention. His front right leg turns out. Our vet feels he had a previous injury that was not treated.
