Coco's Story

Hi, Im Coco, Your Future English Bulldog!

Professional Snuggler Olympic Walker Squeaky Toy Enthusiast

Hi there, hooman!

My name is Coco, and I know it well! Im guessed to be around 7years old, and Im a pretty special English Bulldog with a tail that actually wags! Yep, you heard me right. No tail-fold cleaning required over here. Im basically low-maintenance in the rear department.

I do have some special eye care needs. I get eye drops every day, and honestly? Im SUPER chill about anything you need to do to my eyes. Drops, cleaning, checking them outyou name it. Im a very cooperative girl.

Im also working on getting my cherry eyes fixed. My eyes were neglected for a while, so getting those little bulges to cooperate is no easy task! My eyes can look a little cloudy at times, and I will probably need ongoing maintenance and management. My foster mom thinks my vision may be somewhat affected right now because of these oh-so-common cherry eyes, but Im doing my best and handling my eye care like a champ.

Im also a great listener and come when Im called, which is pretty impressive for a Bulldog, if I do say so myself.

My foster family has taught me so many things! I live with two Golden Retriever foster siblings, and I absolutely LOVE them. Theyve taught me how to play, and now Im pretty sure Im an honorary Golden Retriever. I love running around the yard and playing with my doggie friends.

And TOYS.

Oh, I LOVE toys. Especially squeaky toys and balls. If it squeaks, Im interested. If its a ball, even better. If it squeaks AND its a ball well, we may have found true love.

Lets Talk About Food

I love food. Like REALLY love food.

I will do just about anything for a treat. Im still working on putting on a few pounds, so my foster family sometimes adds Greek yogurt to my dry food.

And let me tell youI LOVE IT.

Sometimes I get so excited about the yogurt that I wear it on my face for a little while as I finish my dinner. Beauty is messy, people.

I Am an AMAZING Walker

I may be a Bulldog, but dont let the wrinkles fool youI am FIT!

I LOVE going for walks and am told Im basically the best Bulldog walker ever. I can do stairs, run around the yard, and keep up with the other dogs.

Im not looking for a couch-only retirement. I like having things to do and being part of the action!

Where I Want to Be

I am definitely a people girl.

I love attention, and I want to be close to my humans. Ideally, youll be in the same room as me because why would you want to be somewhere else? I dont need to be on top of you every second, but I like knowing where my people are.

I also have foster teenage human siblings who absolutely adore me. Ive been around kids and love them, too!

There is just one little thing we should discuss

MY TOYS ARE MY TOYS.

If you try to take a toy out of my mouth, I may suddenly forget all about being the sweet, cooperative girl you just read about. I dont really like sharing, and Im not always willing to let go. Im working on this, though! My foster family is helping me learn that sharing is caring.

And Finally My Most Important Quality

I SNORE.

Loudly.

Like woman-needs-her-beauty-sleep loudly.

But honestly, after you see my sweet face, my happy tail wagging, my goofy personality, and how much I love my people, I think youll find my little nighttime concert completely adorable.

So, if youre looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, active, food-motivated, toy-loving Bulldog who loves dogs, loves kids, loves her people, and is working hard on becoming the very best girl she can be

I might just be your girl.

Ill bring the snuggles.

You bring the treats.

And maybe earplugs.

Please visit our website www.ebullymatch.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Chicago English Bulldog Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION TAKES THOUGHT AND PATIENCE. We know you are excited about the thought of getting a bully. But before you make this decision, we ask that you have done the following: Spoken with all members of your household and come to mutual agreement. Discussed the new addition with your home owner's association or landlord if applicable. Experienced the breed yourself. If you do not currently have a bully family member, we ask that you attend one of our CEBR events before applying. Double check our Adoption Area Map to be sure you are in our range. Save up! Bullies are not an inexpensive breed and having a solid savings account that has an emergency fund is essential. Rescue bullies are also not a way to get a "cheap bully." Often times rescue bullies end up costing more in upkeep than a bully purchased from a breeder.
