Cobalt's Story

Meet Cobalt — Your Bulldozer of Love!

Cobalt is a 7-year-old, 75-pound goofball who’s been with us longer than most — not because he’s hard to love, but because he’s a lot of dog in all the best (and most theatrical!) ways. Originally adopted years ago, Cobalt was sadly returned when his person faced serious health issues. Now, he’s looking for a forever home where he can be someone’s loyal sidekick for good.

Cobalt is very social and affectionate. One of his favorite things is to shove his big ol’ head right into your lap — or your arms, or your side — for pets and attention. He thrives on human interaction and has a charming, larger-than-life presence that fills the room.

He’s also extremely playful — he loves chew toys, chasing balls in the yard, and going for daily walks. Despite being seven, Cobalt has the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger dog, and will absolutely keep you moving. He’s a fantastic walking partner and enjoys his outdoor time as much as his snuggle sessions.

Cobalt is well-trained, but he’s also stubborn and dramatic, which makes him endlessly entertaining but also in need of a confident, experienced adopter who can offer firm guidance and clear structure. He’s not a dog for first-timers, but for someone who understands big, strong-willed dogs, and he’ll be an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

He’s generally good with other dogs, but his size and playful style can be a bit much for more timid, smaller, or lower-energy pups. He's also probably a better match for older children than younger ones, as his size and enthusiasm can be intimidating. And no cats for this guy!

If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, and endlessly lovable companion with a big personality and even bigger heart (and head!), Cobalt is waiting to meet you!

Apply to adopt Cobalt today: neworleansbulldogs.com/application

For questions, contact us here: neworleansbulldogs.com/send-a-message

Please NOTE: do not use Petfinder's "inquiry" option, which does not always work properly.
